The Excellence of Love

1 If I speak with the ^atongues of men and of ^bangels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a ^cclanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of ^dprophecy, and know all ^emysteries and all ^fknowledge; and if I have ^gall faith, so as to ^hremove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I ⁱgive all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I ^jsurrender my body ^{▼▼ Early mss read that I may boast}to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
